Finnish bands seen live?

Tell us whom you've seen live. Did you enjoy the performance or no?

I've also seen Moonsorrow, but I didn't like them much. Not that the music was bad, I didn't like the performance. They didn't communicate with the audience at all. I don't like that :]

yesterday i saw nightwish..it was great...and marco was talking something in finnish..first time i really felt sorry for me because i don't know the language..anyway...i really liked tarot live..such ''waste'' of energy...stratovarius was ok..but without tolki..i don't know..apocalyptica was awesome to

I really want to see Nightwish ... I had many opportunities to go to one of their concerts, but I want to see them with Tarja. Not that I don't like Anette, I don't have anything against her, but the Nightwish I know is with Tarja .. Some day I'll go and see them, but I'll know that there'll be something missing.

yes i know exactly what you mean...but it was ok with anette to...for me the most important thing was that the guys were there..for me...tuomas,emppu,jukka and marco are nw...

A few of those bands I'm not even a fan of, but my friend was, so I went with her anyways.

Hmm i've seen many bands, like Ensiferum, Insomnium, Amorphis, Korpiklaani, Sonata Arctica, Swallow the Sun, Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Children Of Bodom, Turisas, Norther, Tarot, Battlelore, Finntroll, Tarja Turunen, Kalmah, Stratovarius etc.
Every single band had plenty to offer, unforgettable moments =)

I've liked them all but Swallow the sun and Omnium Gatherum who i'm not to familiar with so wasn't that into them live.

Really that list is to small and I think it is high time to see some more.

I've seen Nightwish, Tarja Turunen and Indica.

I've seen Nightwish 3 times. Every show was great but the one in Basel was the best. The two others were Festivalshow and that was a bit different.

Tarja Turunen was awesome. Her voice is simply amazing.

I was Indica as support for Nightwish. I didn't like the show because they were too boring.

I hope to see some more finnish bands. I want to go to see Sonata Arctica or Amorphis next fall. It would be great to see both bands but it's too expensive.

The only Finnish bands I've seen live are Nightwish, Indica and Tarja.
And a band on some kind of festival. I can't remember the name anymore. It was a definitely a folk metal band. But since there aren't the only Finnish metal band that play folk metal I kinda quit the search for it. It was just hopeless and I hope that one day I will find them by accident.

^Korpiklaani? That's the first one I can think of.

I've only seen Nightwish, Indica, Sonata and I could swear there's someone else. Will see Apocalyptica in September but to be honest I know next to nothing about them.

Turisas are really cool... I wish I'd see them again. They visited my country not long ago, but I lost them. Anyway, I think they make the best shows in front of their home crowd, which adores them!

Haha, I was going to go to see them on that tour, but it was my nan's 82nd Birthday and I'd already seen them once, so yeah.

Did anyone see Kiuas when they toured with Firewind? If so.... I'm jealous! Couldn't go 'cause it was a school night... ¬_¬

That happened here too.
And Sam Totman (I think that's his name...) from Dragonforce accused me of wearing the wrong band's shirt to the show when he was wandering around drunk after the show. I think he was just angry because all of the talk in the venue at the end of that night was something along the lines of "who the hell were that band? They were AWESOME".
I think there were only about ten Turisas fans who showed up at the start of the gig, but alot more fans left the gig that night.

Norther - Supporting Turisas in Aberdeen - Brilliant!!!!!

I saw:

Tarja: 5 times (one in 2008 and 4 in 2009, all in Buenos Aires)
Nightwish: 1 time (with Anette, 2008 in Buenos Aires)
The Rasmus: 2 times (2006 and 2009 in Buenos Aires)
HIM: 1 time (2008 in Milano, Italy - they've never come to Argentina so far)

And I'm hoping to see Stratovarius for the 1st time in October!

I really enjoyed all of the shows...only the Nightwish show had some "so so" moments, it was kind of short (only 14 songs, one of them being a cover of Symphony of Destruction) and Anette lost her voice in the end of "Dark chest of wonders"...and they didn't sing "7 days to the wolves" which was a huge dissappointment for me as it is my favourite song from DPP...

Tarja's shows were all amazing, especially the intimate shows at "La Trastienda" club, where she came into the audience to sing, and she also sang a song in spanish from an argentinian rock band...

HIM was a dream come true for me, I've been waiting for them to come for so long! And they never have...and on 2008 I was lucky enough to be visiting family in Italy when they were playing there, so I didn't miss my chance...I really love those guys ^^

The Rasmus's shows were really good, especially the last one, beacuse they sang a lot of old songs like "Liquid" and "Ghostbusters", and they are really nice guys and sound really well live.

I've seen HIM 6 times, 3 times in Finland, 3 times in the US.

I've also seen Nightwish, The 69 Eyes, Sara and Negative. I would have seen Sonata Arctica tonight, but I wasn't feeling too well.

Yesterday I was Amoral, Before The Dawn and Amorphis.
It was absolutely fantastic. I stood in the first row and it was one of the best concerts I've seen so far. The vocalist of Amorphis was simply amazing. And the show was very powerful. I enjoyed every second of it.

After the show I met some guys from Amoral and Before The Dawn by accident. It was very interesting to talk to them and they were very nice.

I've only seen HIM live T_T

Two weeks ago I saw Amberian Dawn again as support for Epica.

And Lumi Ensemble if you want to call them a band Only the leader is a Finn, though ...

I get to see Ensiferum live again in a couple of weeks.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing them live.
